Amazon Prime is considering adding a new, cheaper service with ads. The idea of an ad-supported tier is not new, but it could potentially disrupt the current subscription model. By offering a tier with ads, Amazon could entice more customers with a lower price point. Reports suggest that the ad-based tier could cost just $5 per month, half the price of the current Amazon Prime service.
It is currently unclear as to whether or not Amazon will keep the ad-free experience for current Prime members or if the new tier will replace the current subscription model altogether.
LinkedIn is taking a page out of Facebook’s book with the introduction of AI-powered advertising. LinkedIn Dynamic Ads will allow advertisers to personalize their ads based on LinkedIn data, such as job titles or other data points on a user’s profile. LinkedIn Dynamic Ads will roll out globally in the next few weeks, so advertisers can start taking advantage of this new tool soon.
